MA VISUAL PRACTICE CERAMICS

I am delighted to have been accepted to be part of Ryedale Open Studios this year and once again will open my door to welcome visitors to see my studio and gardens.

As part of North Yorkshire Open Studios I am delighted to have been selected to be part of Skipton Town Hall exhibition which runs for the summer, 5th of July to 16th of September. 

It’s quite a few months since I completed my degree. I have settled into working from my home studio. Being part of the Ryedale Open Studios was a great success, I met lots of people and sold lots of ceramics. It’s all feeling very real now and I have finally got the energy to think about what I want to make and sell. I have visited today my “Wave” which is displayed at The Ryedale Folk Museum “In the Open” an exhibition exploring the impact of lockdown- what an exciting collection of talented artists.

I am delighted to have been asked to make a commission for Helmsley Art Centre to celebrate 30 years of the centre.

I was selected to exhibit my waves at the Fronteer Gallery in Sheffield in December 2021, There were so many talented artists to chat to at the open evening. The exhibition was held at the Exchange Studios in Sheffield and was open to the public to view. I didn’t sell my work this time, maybe next time?

A trip with friends to Fountains Abbey for painting, drawing and photographs.

In September 2022 I was lucky to exhibit my "Waves" in the court yard at the arts centre in Helmsley. A fabulous space to show off my art work.

North Yorkshire Open Studios first weekend went well with lots of lovely visitors.The weekend kicked off with neighbours and friends enjoying a preview evening with fizz and pizzas,a great start.
